Owner of car sales office acquitted of cheating The Misdemeanor Court presided over by Judge Haider Al-Mazedi acquitted the owner of a car sale office of allegedly swindling a Kuwaiti citizen after promising to assist in importing a vehicle into the country. According to the case files, the Public Prosecution accused the defendant of deceiving the plaintiff by claiming he is an experienced automobile importer and is ready to assist the latter in importing the vehicle. They both agreed on a certain amount of money, which the plaintiff transferred into the bank account of the defendant. The defense counsel affirmed that the method of negotiations did not reflect any bad intention, stressing that his client only wanted to assist the plaintiff. He declared that fraud always has four factors, which are collecting money by tricking the victim, reasons for the crime, method of collecting money and criminal intention. Courtesy: Arabtimesonline
