Oxford College: I am so happy I came here. On tour as a senior in high school, I thought this campus would be the last place on earth I would ever go. Four months later I unloaded a van full of my life essentials... in the Beast parking lot (thats how long I took to accept that I will be coming here, and apply for housing). Even while being involved freshman year, I questioned why am I here in the middle of nowhere with no car to get away!. Sure, you could have more imporovements such as have more tutors available in more subjects and have a bigger math center that stays open 8am-10pm. A music room with instruments to rent would also make me happier. But you have given us better studying locations with the new library and the food at Lils is better! But what I want to focus on is that after a year and a half at Oxford, I am so happy that I chose this place. The Lils staff, custodians, even Lisa at the student center reception, take their time to ask me how I am, and they listen to me babbling about my good or bad day. My professors tell me that they will help me get the grade I want and they will keep an eye on me. The gazillion friends I have made, never leave me behind, always give me a push when I need one, and they find happiness in making others happy. The campus life administrators, deans, and RLCs inspire me just by acknowledging who I am and what I have done at Oxford, and guide me to becoming a leader I did not know I could be. It is not just one or two people who have made this college experience sensational, it is the entire student body, the staff, the professors, the alumni, and the beautifully warm campus that have come together to let me blossom, realize that my grades do not define who I am or how successful I will be. I will not wait to appreciate Oxford after I leave, instead, Oxford College, thank you for letting me grow into the person I am today.
