Oxygen has been moved down to 50% input!!!!!! It was at 100% last Sunday! Her oxygen level is still holding steady in the 90s. Dr also just turned the pressures down a little too. If she can meet these goals then they will be moving forward to the next trials. These next goals, hopefully to start tomorrow will be a sedation vacation. This will be where they start taking her off sedation meds completely to see how she tolerates it. They will do this several times a day, if possible. Then if that goes well they will do a c-pap trial. This is to turn oxygen off completely and let her breathe on her own. This is a way to exercise her lungs. Theyll watch it very closely and hope she can meet these goals. Weve got a long road ahead of us still and shes still not out of the woods. ( Ill be so glad to hear shes out of the woods.) Her blood gases and lungs look good and kidneys look great! We cant thank you enough for your prayers. This time last week we were truly holding on to a thread of hope. GOD answers prayers in HIS time! This has been the hardest cause it has to be HIS time, not mine.
