Oz Serval is the animal artist behind “The Axe Effect,” a fiercely passionate painting that seems to be in conversation with James Brooks’ expressionist style of the late 1940’s. Oz’s preferred technique is full-body painting—as in, using his full body to paint the full bodies of his human assistants—and he has been known to autograph his work and helpers by scent-marking them. In this painting, the audience can clearly see the long, soft strokes of his chin, chest, and shoulders, as well as a few nose markings throughout. Oz is a humble but enthusiastic artist who loves to be inspired by his favorite scents, including flowery perfumes and Axe body spray. “The Axe Effect” also features small amounts of embedded fur, and would be a bright, exciting addition to any office or living space. “The Axe Effect” (and other amazing animal paintings) will be auctioned at our Wild Side Casino and Auction Fundraiser on June 7th.
