“O’ Mom – Message From A Daughter” O’ Mother, your silent presence in my life, Was not less than any worldly riches to me. The scent of love that came from you, Was like a salve on wounded heart of me. Never matter if you used to be silent, As you had burdens of my sadness on you. You knew the difficulties of my life, You always bore my pains in heart of you. Every pain of mine you felt like your own, Though apart, you were never far from me. Language of my silence you knew o’ mom, You knew all unspoken pains of me. Though we were far from each other, Fidgety of mine was malaise of yours. Any hurt of mine gave pain to you, Wounds of mine were pains of yours. I thought whenever I will meet you, All the tortures I faced, I will tell you. In your loving lap shall I hide myself, I will weep and make you weep too. That you will wipe my tears by hands, You will console me fully with your love. Don’t weep o’ child of me, I still exist, And you will hide me in lap of your love. But this not happened and you left me, Heat of sorrow is there but you have gone. My wounds cried as you left me mom, The only salve to my wounds has gone. On the path of sorrow was no other shelter, Just your meeting me was all for me. My life was earlier also not easy but, Your absence is another fall for me. My tears are looking for shelter o’ mom, Heart wounds look for your love o’ mom. Why you left me alone in the crazy world, Tell me the reason of your leaving o’ mom. You taught me how to bear pains and live, On every step who encouraged me, were you. You taught me also how to live with dignity. But you didn’t teach how to live without ‘YOU’. ©2013 (Gurdeep Singh Kohli) 11-May-2013
