O’Fallon Junior High School Athletic-Extracurricular Booster Club Meeting Minutes 10/21/13 Melissa Dreyer presented the Treasurer’s Report. Tracy Lauderdale reported that basketball scholarships will probably not be as high as expected, but final numbers are still out. Banners are up at both schools for qualifying donors, as well as program recognition, game passes & t-shirts are being distributed. Based on tryout turnout & club interest, he doesn’t believe that extracurricular activities have been affected by the increased participation fees. We do need to keep publicizing the club and keep information out there. Ryan Keller reminded everyone that there will be a Chick-fil-A night on October 28th from 5-8pm and a Papa Murphy’s/Orange Leaf night on November 13th from 3-7. The girls’ basketball teams at Fulton have also done team fundraising through a Schiappa’s pizza sale and Pepsi soda sales. Julie Heltne, a Fulton Jr. High parent, also presented a fundraising idea for a Cosmic Bingo. She is willing to chair the event, which will be held in January or February of next year. More information to follow. We still have not heard from the IRS regarding our acceptance as a 501(c)(3) organization, therefore, we will hold off on officially electing officers until the end of the year for next year.
