P.E.T.A.: People Eating Tasty Animals. Rollin out of the Huntin Club yesterday one of our deer-dog hunters did a call out on the CB to be careful of a small dog by the side of the road. I stop and take a look at him and hes sittin there shivering in the rain, freezing cold and lookin real down. I get him to come over to me and grab him and load him up in the old huntin truck and beat on the dash to get the heater workin a little. He rides with me all day as Im in & out of the truck taking stands on different blocks we are running dogs in. Wrapped up in a airline blanket I requisitioned from a previous life, (thank u Lufthansa), he starts to warm up. Then we sneak out of the hunt & go to the river & get Miss Danette to make us a large chicken finger basket. He eats most of it including the fries and then passes out on the dirty seats that he probably considered the Waldorf Astoria. Still beatin on the dash to keep the heater workin...then the wipers quit workin. I tell this fella we fixin to get cold & I cant see. He looks at me then crawls up on the dash and looks at me, like..hey dude, fix it! I do & then we cut for the hut before some other adverse weather tragedy befalls us. Lol. He goes in the shop and jumps in Gunnys outside parkin space without a hitch. Gunny has experienced the life of an outlaw dog so he doesnt bother this little fella. So now Im lookin for a home for this really cool, housebroken, very laid back, small Jack Russel/Chihuahua mix. Yall say hello to LITTLE MAN! Free to good home!
