P L A S T I C P L A N E T : More Garbage all over the world and coming from Korea, landing in Japan. The same Oceanography sailor/technician from Strange Days on Planet Earth is in this movie and we see more of the small, filtered plastic detritus that is covering the ocean and the ocean floor. We also see large pieces of plastic, like umbrella handles, tooth brushes, and other plastic garbage that winds up in the bellies of albatrosses, killing them. The narrator also talks about how he wonders what his grandfather would have thought. His grandfather was a plastics pioneer. Also in this film, we see a ceremony that is carried our in Fukuoka every year, wherein Japanese and Koreans clean up garbage that drifts over from Korea and was dumped in the sea by big ships. For veterans of Korea, there is also a funny scene wherein the narrator questions whether a Korean person is Japanese or Korean, and her reaction--which you could predict--is (though light-hearted) somewhat insulted. movies.netflix/WiPlayer?movieid=70170593&trkid=13462055&t=Plastic%2BPlanet&tctx=13%2C13%2C3e4cf7ba-8ccd-4f38-a76b-6eb6e78a5430-26854967
