P14066308 Taxi Driver Assaulted with a Weapon Thunder Bay Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying a male responsible for an assault on a taxi driver. Just shortly before 8:00 p.m. on September 21, 2104, the taxi driver picked up a lone male outside the Casino. The male requested to be taken to a Manitou Street address. Once they arrived at this destination, the passenger pulled out a knife and attached the driver. The driver was able to defend himself after being cut by the male. The suspect fled the scene and the driver was able to call for assistance. The 56 year old male driver was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre for treatment and has since been released. The suspect is described as being a Native Canadian male in his early 20s. He is 58 tall and has a slim build. He was wearing jeans, a black hoodie and a blue baseball cap with a black peak.
