PA / Administrator - Gloucester This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to provide all round PA and administration support within a busy team for a large, established and expanding company in the Gloucester area. You will provide underwriting administration services and support for the Underwriting Senior Management Team and Underwriting Department. Main Responsibilities: • Receive and deal with written and verbal queries/correspondence emanating from both inside and outside the Company. • To carry out general administrative duties relating to the Underwriting Department including underwriting support work such as rate testing, premium bench marking, and bordereau testing • Maintain central information, files, diary systems and files for Underwriting teams – using persuasion and negotiation skills to get meetings in the diary. Use initiative and make decisions on behalf of the team to resolve conflicting diary issues. • To produce accurately typed documents, reports and general correspondence to tight deadlines • Monitor email and/or post in the absence of members of the Underwriting Management Team to ensure appropriate actions are taken and timescales met. • To attend meetings, take notes, produce and disseminate minutes and actions arising, on behalf of the Senior Underwriting Management Team, as required. • To co-ordinate production of the monthly Underwriting Department report, liaising with managers and underwriters to ensure content is provided on a timely basis and then produce a consolidated report The ideal candidate would have many of the following skills and experience. • Confident communication skills, both verbal and written • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload • Good team player • Attention to detail • Ability to work unsupervised on own initiative and multi-task • Organising meetings including note taking and distribution of minutes and agendas • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications • Display qualities of discretion, tact and diplomacy Salary £16,000-£17,000 Interviews to take place on 19th and 22nd December 2014.
