PAC TRACK INTERVAL WORKOUT - TUESDAY 4/8/14 Where: Fontainebleau High School Track When: Tues 4/8/14, 6:00 - 7:00pm Who: PAC Endurance Edge Program Participants This week well tackle a pyramid workout. Pyramid workouts test both pacing and speed endurance. There will be a time during this workout when your legs feel heavy. As you continue the workout, your body is adjusting to the different interval distances and the heavy legs feeling usually subsides. The key once again is pacing discipline - start off conservatively and save some energy for the second half of the workout. The gory details: *800m warm-up jog; dynamic warm-up drills *400m @ 5K race pace, walk/standing rest interval (RI) 1:30 *800m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *1,200m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *1,600m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *1,200m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *800m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *400m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *800m cool-down jog Hope to see you at the track!
