PAC TRACK INTERVAL WORKOUT - TUESDAY 6/24/14 Where: Fontainebleau High School Track When: 6:00 - 7:00pm Who: PAC SwimFit Endurance Program Participants This week well revisit one of my favorite workouts. On paper it looks short and easy but this session always seems to provide plenty of challenge. Sustained, fast running involves developing the ability to stay relaxed while maintaining good form and body position. During acceleration, its important to master the forward lean from the ankles, while keeping your posture strong through the core and torso. Well practice good form running during this session - 100 meter sprint build-ups! Heres how the workout will flow: *800m easy jog warm-up *Dynamic warm-up drills *10 x 100m sprint buildups (walk/jog back to start) *400m easy jog (~5 min) *10 x 100m sprint buildups (walk/jog back to start) *400m easy jog (~5 min) *10 x 100m sprint buildups (walk/jog back to start) *400m easy jog (~5 min) Summer is in full-swing, so make sure to hydrate before heading to track and bring a full water bottle.
