PACES Psychosocial is currently hiring for a Part-Time Support Services Provider. POSITION SUMMARY Provide assistance, supervision and constructive guidance to individuals in completing daily tasks and activities. Provide training in life and social skills. May work at a specific organizational facility, an authorized community/program location and/or client home. Works under general supervision. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES Achieve Results: - Organizes and implements psychosocial skill curriculum for groups of youth ages 5-22 years old who are SED. - Facilitates structured social skill groups and activities in a therapeutic manner that supports client’s treatment. - Provide skill building interventions and supervision in a group setting and in a one to one setting as needed. - Assist clients with learning and practicing daily living and social skills. - Assist client in completing daily living tasks as needed. - Assist clients with problem-solving daily living situations. - Maintains a safe and nurturing environment. - Provide transportation and accompany clients to and from activities and/or appointments to provide medically necessary direct care and support, as directed. - Communicates timely, accurately and effectively with children, parents and staff. - Maintains appropriate records for reporting, evaluation, accounting and clinical purposes on time and according to agency standards. - Assures groups meet agency standards and communicates with the Psychosocial Coordinator when groups are not meeting agency standards, including poor performance of staff. - Communicate with and follow recommendations of treatment team pertaining to child’s goals. - Complete states training and is able to provide Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment. - Engage individuals in a positive, constructive, respectful and hopeful manner. - Recognize and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural and ethnic differences. - Help others succeed by demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or serious emotional disturbance, and the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations. Effectively manage conflict. - Interact positively with other staff, members of the agency and team, including active participation in supervision activities, team meetings and training, etc. Operational Excellence: - Comply with relevant Center policies and procedures - Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or designate - Ensure that each client receives the highest level and quality of supportive care and guidance. - Ensure that all clients are treated with dignity and respect, and experience effective assistance in completing daily tasks/activities. - Provide services in timely and focused manner to meet/exceed the organization’s goals and expectations. - Follow treatment plans and supervisory directives to support the achievement of client-specific goals. - Ensure that all assistance complements program intent and outcomes. Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, standards and best practices. - Ensure any Personal Health Information concerning a client is not disclosed, other than as permitted by HIPAA and/or applicable federal regulations. - Actively engage supervisor in problem-resolution and guidance in performing work duties to ensure client’s best welfare. - Ensure regular and consistent communication/feedback with supervisor(s) regarding scheduling, completing documentation, practical application of training, problem-solving and resolution and seeking guidance in performing duties. Relationships: - Develop and maintain respectful, courteous and professional relationships with all clients and their families (as appropriate). Work closely with all others involved in delivery of services to ensure that client needs are being met. - Maintain positive, effective working relationships with other staff members and external community partners. Leadership and Workplace Culture- - Uphold and ensure all activities and conduct are compliant with internal policies, as well as all relevant laws and regulations. - Model the values and the mission of the organization at all times. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Professional: - Prior experience providing effective, efficient healthcare/welfare services work preferred. - Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with individuals. - Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication skills. Education: - High School diploma or G.E. D. Physical/Environmental/Other: - Valid driver’s license, - Emotional capacity to control and manage self if clients act out or behave in a verbal or physical manner. - Ability to effectively use all devices, equipment, computer systems required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. - Must meet all pre-employment screening requirements and required organizational training.
