PAGASA Weather Bulletin No. 2 Tropical Cyclone Warning: TROPICAL DEPRESSION “SENIANG” Issued at 11:00AM, 28 December 2014 TROPICAL DEPRESSION “SENIANG” HAS MAINTAINED ITS STRENGTH AS IT CONTINUES TO MOVE CLOSER TOWARDS NORTHEASTERN MINDANAO. Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “SENIANG” was estimated based on available data at 210 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (8.1°N, 128.2°E). Strength: Maximum winds of 45 kph near the center. Forecast Movement: Forecast to move West Northwest at 11 kph. Forecast Positions: •24 hour (Tomorrow morning): 100 km North of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur or in the vicinity of Tandag, Surigao del Sur. •48 hour (Tuesday morning): 30 km West of Tagbilaran City, Bohol. •72 hour (Wednesday morning): 230 km West of Dumagete City, Negros Oriental or at 280 km East of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. •Expected landfall: Monday morning in the vicinity of Tandag, Surigao del Sur and associated with occasional rains with occasional gusty winds and moderate-heavy rainfall (7-15mm per hour). •Estimated rainfall amount is from 7 – 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression. •Residents in low lying and mountainous areas of the provinces with PSWS#1 as well as over Eastern Visayas and the rest of Mindanao especially Caraga Region are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. •Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Visayas and over the northern and eastern seaboards of Mindanao. •The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 5 PM today.
