*PAID Marketing Internship* Intern Marketing Nestle Purina PetCare Company St. Louis Part-time POSITION SUMMARY: Purina Brand Management interns actively learn through real-world marketing projects derived from our real-time business or community needs. You will spend twelve weeks assigned to a Nestle’ Purina brand team where you will find yourself engaged in three major projects: one analytically based, one creative based and a strategic project. Each is directly intended to mature your business applied marketing acumen, helping you transition from the theoretical classroom environment to the practical business application of marketing savvy that moves our consumers and enriches relationships with their pets. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Nestle Purina interns contribute as full members of their assigned brand teams, with responsibilities that could include: - Advertising Development (e.g. write strategic creative briefs, interacting with our internal creative agency, CheckMark, and external agencies.) - New Product Introductions (e.g. lead cross-functional teams through the exploration of unchartered “white space” via new product ideation sessions, or, create new product launch strategies) - Competitive Analysis (e.g. apply classic analytical skills and receive in depth AC Nielsen training to fully understand ours and our competitors’ place in the pet care category) - Market Research (e.g. move the needle using industry leading insights to enhance your branding recommendations.) - Consumer Promotions (e.g. incent target audiences with laser focus precision using promotions that compel action at the retail store level) - Packaging Development (e.g. create the next new look for a major brand, or lead us further forward in areas like sustainable packaging) - High-Impact Projects (e.g. every project or task has a direct impact on the business or community. You will work on issues that matter to us now, with real possibilities of seeing your work in the market when you are finished) EDUCATION: Must be a full-time 1st year MBA student with a Marketing concentration SKILLS: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel). Must be available to complete a 12-week internship during the summer of 2014 in St. Louis, MO.
