PAKISTAN FORGET US STRANDED PAKISTANIS SO CALLED BIHAREE IN BANGLADESH. MW&DO HOUSING PROJECT IN BOGRA As per instructions of Mr. Abu Farhan, a survey of the clients of Bogra who are getting subsistence allowance from MWDO every month, was conducted by myself (Kamal Ahmed, General Secretary of MWDO in Bangladesh) to assess the situation and family position of the recipient. During the survey when I reach to Anwari Khatoon a widow lives in Belgium Maath of Bogra Latifpur Colony, one of our client who receives subsistence allowance every month, I found that her house is comprising of merely 4 planks in the 4 corner, in some places it is fenced by polyethylene and some where thatched fence that too very dilapidated. During rainy season there were to pass a sleepless night. She has 4 children, elder one is daughter, compelled to give in marriage in a dilly-dally manner, 2nd and 3rd are son, under age of 12& 14, learning some mechanical work, the 4th is minor daughter. She works somewhere and earn near about 500/600 taka per month to run her family. Knowing the living condition of this family, Mr. Abu Farhan thought to do something to facilitate accommodation of the most deserving families primarily. Since the resources are very limited I purchased a small piece of land 60x 59 feet, in Bogra and took up construction work and within 3 months a building was constructed over the land of 4 units comprising 2 rooms, 1 kitchen and 1 toilet, 2 in the east side and 2 unit in the west side with a good space in the middle of both unit with an over head water tank and a main gate. House built in Bogra to accommodate 4 - families House Entrance Main Gate 1st Room of each unit of the house Toilet in each unit Kitchen in each unit 2nd room of each unit of the house After completion of the building the below mentioned 4 families are shifted to the house and thus an important problem of their life have perhaps been solved. The above project was initiated, and guided to me by Mr. Abu Farhan Siddiqui. Munna Khan is a sick man, can’t work hard to run his family, some times he sells peanuts, some time banana and some time breaking brick (khoa), he was also living in a rented house of Tk.500/- and he was very much in dilapidated position for payment of the rent. He has 4 children. Saleha Khatoon, widow, 2 minor sons still learning works to earn and one marriage daughter who is widow and has a child of 5 years. She runs her family earning from teaching Arabic and Urdu in the near by area, was living in a rented house which was a problem for her to pay the rental amount of Tk.500/- per month that too in a single room. Raushan, 1 daughter reading in class VIII, and one minor child, her husband works as a guard in the house of an acquainted person in Dhaka, and draw salary of Tk.2000/- per month. It is as a sympathy to ward him other wise he can not work any where because he is mental patient and her family is in a great problem, but she is fighting with the problem and continuing. Anwari Khatoon a widow has 4 children, elder one is daughter, compelled to give in marriage in a dilly-dally manner, 2nd and 3rd are son, under age of 12& 14, learning some mechanical work, the 4th is minor daughter.
