PAKISTAN TERRORISTS ARE TAKING ADMISSION IN UNIVERSITIES THEN STAYING IN HOSTELS AND NOW PUNJAB GOVT WRITTEN TO ALL VICE CHANCELLORS OF UNIVERSITIES TO SECURE THE CAMPUS AFTER THE ARREST OF AL QAEDA SUSPECTS FROM THE PUNJAB UNIVERSITY HOSTEL IN LAHORE IN THE COUNTRY 28TH SEPTEMBER 2013 By Usman Manzoor from print edition ISLAMABAD: The Punjab government has written to all vice chancellors of universities in Punjab to make foolproof arrangements in hostels and campuses of their institutions.This order came after arrest of al-Qaeda suspects from the Punjab University Hostel in Lahore. Sources in Punjab University said that had a proper action been taken at the right time, al-Qaeda suspects would never have entered and harnessed in an educational institution.It merits mentioning here that the university hostels in Pakistan are breeding grounds for would-be terrorists as in a recent incident where one terrorist Hammad Adil was arrested from Islamabad and confessed to have killed ex-Minister for Minorities Shahbaz Bhatti and Prosecutor in Benazir Bhutto murder case and aiding suicide attack on Denmark embassy and burning Nato containers and attack on a general of Pakistan Army, was brainwashed in the hostel of International Islamic University Islamabad. A police report, seen by this correspondent, states that Hammad Adil took admission in Islamic University and was convinced to go on Jehad during his stay in the hostel. One of the major breakthroughs during the war on terror was the capture and identification of a suicide bomber in Bhara Kahu, Islamabad on Eid day. Documents reveal that the Punjab government through letters dated 20th September, 2013 and addressed to all vice chancellors of public sector universities in Punjab has intimated that in the wake of recent incidents of law enforcing agencies for arrest of criminals and terrorists from public sector universities, it has been reported that the students of banned religio-political organisations and their students wing are harnessing criminals / terrorists involved in criminal activities.
