PAN AFRICAN COALITION OF ORGANISATIONS African Liberation Day Rally 2014 25th May 2014 A Pan African Statement The Pan African Coalition of Organisations in Barbados invited all Pan-Africanists, African Nationalists, Rastafarians, Black Muslims, Orishas, Spiritual Baptists, Socialists and other conscious Brothers and Sisters to an AFRICAN LIBERATION DAY RALLY on SATURDAY the 24th of MAY 2014 at INDEPENDENCE SQUARE, BRIDGETOWN. BARBADOS. Our Rally started at 5PM and was abruptly stopped by the Royal Barbados Police Force at 8:00 pm on that evening. We were informed by a Policeman that the Commissioner of Police asked his Force to stop our African Liberation Day Rally 2014. The Royal Barbados Police Force stopped our Rally during the speech of the Hon. Trevor Prescod, member of Parliament in Barbados, when he was making an address concerning critical labour issues in Barbados as well as speaking about the Pan Africanist Posthumous Honouring of Patriarch Dr. Granville Williams - Spiritual Baptist Church. We were denied the right to freely associate and to meet on African Liberation Day. The Royal Barbados Police Force denied the African People of Barbados our rights to address our Barbadian People on African Liberation Day. Our Movements in Barbados call on all Pan-Africanists, African Nationalists, Rastafarians, Black Muslims, Orishas, Spiritual Baptists, Socialists and other conscious Brothers and Sisters in the world to protest this action against our African People in Barbados for African Celebration. Long live African Liberation Day. David Denny Secretary
