PAN AFRICAN FALL-OUT:-) There is a serious likelihood that the Pan African dream heads towards a fall-out. I am a member of the Ugandan chapter; one who has lost heart! I feel that sociologically and socially this dream might be headed towards a fall-out. The last time I attended any of the weekly sessions, was perhaps 4 or 5 years ago. The characteristics of our fellow Africans - first after Musevenis Fast Tracking of the EAC and, the moral support to the Southern Sudanese towards achieving their break-away independence. And what followed; with severally Ugandans murdered in large numbers in that country - and recently the skirmishes across borders with Sudanese claiming lands inside Moyo District. These are but, to me, the small tell-tales of the dream fall-out. Blatant disrespect of law by African foreigners; crime syndicates masquerading as religious leaders cum investors - or University students who actually are into night-club and Pool Bar businesses... where they are actually master-minds of car thief rackets attached to every car-wash, garages, parking areas and pool bars. KABALAGALA and KANSANGA with three or four University campuses is fast becoming a crime zone; here you find pool bars and shops owned by the foreign students: from Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Nigeria, D R Congo, CAR, Kenya and others. Uganda is hand-tied by its commitments to exhibiting a mature, clean image of a Pan African Country... however what seem to be very much obvious is fact that our fellow Africans among us dont have the foggiest idea what Pan Africanism actually mean. Much less do they even care... so if they plan to kill us cleverly, then we have to tell it the way it is! It is unfair to have a whole lot of foreign Africans drinking every evening in their pool bar, in our neighborhood and keep on insulting our POVERTY everyday - even if they knew the Army of our wives in the Diasporas - that are no-longer ours because of our dire poverty. We do not want to be reminded everyday about our failures and cowardice - anybody who is brave does not leave his own country! We were also really cowards... which was why we left our country in the past. A mistake we dont want to make again. So in a small package - the idealism of the Pan African dream - is falling-out not politically, economically or militarily - but on the simpleton of sociological and social contact fall-out. And it is likely to already be happening on the bedrock of a simple man and his wives! IF I pass-by and, you insult me calling names of my separated wives and children - telling me things you should be educated enough to avoid - then you are creating a fall-out. I am therefore a factor in what you are trying to do in my country - which without joking could land you back on the airline to your own country minus that your AGENDA. And without my golden Coffin! otherwise also known as - Car and Wardrobe!!!
