PARENTING TIPS; One of the best virtues parents can pass on to their children is to teach them to be content with what they have... Never assume that your child is too young to listen and understand. Start to talk to him early enough. Anytime your child comes to you to announce that a neighbour, classmate or friend has a new toy or gift and he must get his too, you must teach him to understand that he cant get everything he wants and you will provide his at your own time. You must never let your child put under undue pressure because you want to satisfy him. If you can provide everything he wants now, what about what you cant provide in the future? A friend once gathered her children together at her husbands demise. She told them that she couldnt afford all the luxuries their father gave them. She pleaded with them that they would have to adjust financially, and this she did lovingly. On few occasions she tried to go out of her way to provide a few luxuries but the kids always declined. They would tell her to save the money for the rainy today...Today, the kids are all responsible men and women and well placed in the society. She had no problem raising them even in the absence of her hubby... You too can do the same. Do well to provide the basic necessites of life for your child. But let them know what you can afford per time. Do not pretend before them.. Teach them to be content and start doing it right away... #MIA
