PARISH NOTICES for Sat. 28th and Sun. 29th September, 2013 1. The St. Francis Novena continues before evening Mass this weekend and this coming Mon to Thurs at 6.30 pm followed by presentations at 7.00 pm by Deacon Kester de Verteuil on the theme: The Life of St Francis of Assisi– Moral & Spiritual Values. On the Feast Day, Fri 4th Oct, Holy Mass will be at 7.00 pm. Therefore there will be no Mass in the morning of Fri 4th Oct. 2. There will be the usual Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration this coming First Friday from 5.00 to 6.00 pm, ending with Benediction. Holy Mass will also be celebrated at 7.00 am this coming Saturday, which will be First Saturday. 3. Next weekend the Mass and Service times remain on the usual schedule for Saturday evening at Coalmine, Vega and St Francis. On Sunday 6th – our Parish Harvest and Family Day – there will be only one Mass in the parish at 9.00 am at St. Francis. 4. Marriage Banns: The following have expressed their intention to be married on the date noted: Stephen Alexander of LP# 81 Vega de Oropouche, Toco Main Road, Sangre Grande and Malisa Lewis – Alexander, of the same address: Fri 11th October. Anyone knowing of any legitimate reason why this couple should not be married, is obligated to speak to the parish priest. 5. Upcoming events: (i) Sat Oct 12th – Panel discussion at St Francis Church to close Respect for Life Week. Time: 10.00 am to 12.00 noon. (ii) Sun Oct 13th – parish pilgrimage to Laventille Shrine for the close of Fatima Devotions. Please give your name and number to Shirley Mongolas or the office staff if you are interested in going. (iii) Fri 11th to Sun 13th Oct – Life in the Spirit Seminar for young people aged 15 to 35 years, at Malabar RC Church. (iv) Sat Oct 26th – Presentation on the Billings Ovulation Method of Natural Family Planning at St Francis Church – 9.30 am to 12.00 noon.
