PARKS FIGHT HUNGER! The nine state parks in the coastal region are sponsoring a food drive over the summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Brandon Bowers, Senior Ranger at Hunting Island, decided to take it a step further and build a lighthouse out of the donated cans --in an effort to collect more cans. Bi-Lo partnered with him and he was to build a 12-foot tall lighthouse out of 640 cans and 32 bottles of water. It even has a working light! Congrats to Brandon and thanks to Bi-Lo and all who donated! How cool is that?
