PARLIAMENTARY STANDING COMMITTEE ON ENERGY INVITES VIEWS / SUGGESTIONS ON THE SUBJECT “ THE ELECTRICITY (AMENDMENT) BILL 2014” The Standing Committee on Energy (Sixteenth Lok Sabha) under the Chairpersonship of Dr. Kirit Somaiya, M.P. have been referred the “Electricity Amendment Bill, 2014” for examination and presenting a Report thereon to Parliament. 2. Considering the importance of the subject, views and suggestions are invited from stakeholders/ individuals/experts/institutions/organisations interested in the Subject. The Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2014 has been uploaded on Lok Sabha Website (loksabha.nic.in). 3. All those desirous of submitting their views/suggestions to the Committee may send their written Memoranda, either in English or Hindi on the Subject to Director, Lok Sabha Secretariat, Room No. 514, Fifth Floor, Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi – 110 001 or e-mail them at [email protected] within twenty days of publication of this Communiqué. 4. The Memoranda submitted to the Committee would form part of the records of the Committee and would be treated as „confidential‟ and would enjoy privileges of the Committee. 5. Those who wish to appear before the Committee, besides submitting Memoranda, are requested to specifically indicate so. However, the Committee’s decision in this regard shall be final.
