PARROT OR EAGLE WHO ARE YOU Jesus waited upon the Lord for his orders. This gave Him the seeds of faith and authority to mount up like an eagle. He wants us to be of one mind with Him and live a high flying lifestyle. However, some believers feel more like pet parrots than eagles. Pet parrots don’t fly like eagles, they’re caged, hand fed and can only say what their owners have taught them to say. Because they can’t be fulfilled by flying, other things to amuse them are placed in their cage. Other parrots are given partial freedom, have one wing clipped but are confined to in-house activity. Eagle leaders give initial feeding and demonstrate the freedom of a Spirit led life. They provide out of the nest training flights. For those who are fearful of flying, the hand feeding ceases and the nest is made uncomfortable. Parrot leaders make the nest larger and more comfortable and teach the dangers of flying. If you take a parrot out of its cage, it will fearfully try to get back in.Those believers who have been captivated by services will need some mind renewal Before overcoming the fear of the freedom of a Spirit led life. Those previously caged believers who purposely break free from an institutionalized lifestyle will also need to learn how to fly and provide for themselves. Therefore they still need to meet with equippers and other believers. The Lord is our owner and He paid an incredible price so we could be free to soar as He did. Let’s not disappoint Him. Its easier to perch in a church or in your own home and do nothing. Flying takes an effort. Meeting with and hearing from Him daily and encouragement from other eagles will provide the wind beneath your wings. Stuart Gramenz & Ted Klassen
