PART-22(C) “What! Have you asked something Arpi?” Inquired Avdhesh as he wanted to confirm that exactly what Arpita wanted to know from him. Arpita again kept the silence as if she hasn’t said anything. They move back to the group where Arpita chose to stand next to Suraj; Maya came to stand with Avdhesh . everyone was excited thinging how to celebrate their victory, Suraj broke the silence – “Hey guys How about a Picnic” everyone started to make faces on his idea as most of them consider it childish while Avdhesh and Arpita was lost in their own thoughts, Suraj continued after a pause “How about an over night Picknic ‘Love’ at my farm house! What do you guys says? ” everyone seems happy now except Avdhesh and his friends, even Arpita didn’t react. Avdhesh- “It’s a nice Idea Suraj but I think we need to rest specialy Arpi..ta.” he took a pause between her name as he was confused wether he had right to call her Arpi or not. Suraj-“What? Arpi dear I was thinking to show you my farm house, I mean you have worked hard all these days so I thougt this short trip will be rejuvenating for all of us. What do you think? ” Avdhesh got bit annoyed at his show off of over careing attitude towards Arpita was about to say something but Arpita replied for Suraj before he could- “So sweet of you Suraj, Of course Dear we will go for picknic at your place tonight, let me inform Baba then we can start for there, don’t worry Skhikha Amma will not scold you as am going to take permission for you too.” This time Arpita held Suraj’s hand with affection and said all that with a pleasant smile too, Avdhesh felt badly hurt at her this behaviour his eyes got flooded but somehow he controlled and turned to leave but before he could go more then two steps someone held his arm from behind. He felt as its Arpita , turned to find her there while everyone was busy to plan what will they do at farm house. Avdhesh-“Arpi…” Arpita-“where are you going Avdhesh! Haven’t you heard! We are going for picknic and you are joining us….me and by boy friend Suraj, kaho to formally invite karun !” there was a sarcasm the way she asked him to stay, and her eyes was like crying and burning at the same time. Avdhesh couldn’t felt anything like to say except to stay and join them. Somewhere he had accepted that He had lost Arpita to Suraj….but what was bothering him was his own feelings, that why he was feeling so much pain, anger when Arpita held Suraj’s hand and smiled at him. Arpita turned to Maya “Hey Maya, you too is joining us dear ok, am sure you will love to come after all you know all of them except few of us isn’t it?” and left her to make call to home and ask for permission. Meanwhile Avdhesh cut himself off from everyone standing alone in the parking of auditorium staring at sky as if trying to find something written in stars, someone came from behind and Avdhesh felt a warm hand on his right shoulder. “Avdhesh” “Arpi” for a second Avdhesh thought its his Arpi but it wasn’t , It was Maya she smiled a bit on his reaction while Avdhesh felt sad as he was thinking and expecting only Arpita at that time. Maya-“Avdhesh, can I ask something?” Avdehsh-“you don’t need to ask Maya, say..” Maya-“why don’t you just accept it?” Avdhesh-“Accept…. What?” Maya-“uh…leave it…I was leaving so just thought to meet you, you know its quiet late, mom must be waiting at home.” Avdhesh-“you leaving! Why ? mean Arpita has invited you to join us…she will be mad at me if I let you go. Come on you are coming with us, let me talk to aunty , she will not bother if I will be with you.” Maya-“I know, but you don’t know.” She laughed at this when he said about her invitation by Arpita. Avdhesh-“what I don’t know? ” Avdheshe exclaimed at her words. Maya-“ leave it, I should leave , waise bhi I don’t like to stay out at night after you know all that. And about Arpita.” Avdhesh looked up at her, she took a deep breath and kissed his forehead, “wish you both can get it in time, before its late. God bless you.” Avdhesh was surprised the way she blessed him, and kept looking at her while she was leaving, at few steps before main gate she turned back and said – “Avi…Accept it, I have seen it in eyes of both of you.” but before he could say or get anything she was not there, in few minutes whole gang was there to start for picknic.
