JOB DESCRIPTION: Under supervision of an office administrator or a higher-level clerical employee, a Clerk-Typist performs the administrative support tasks peculiar to or characteristic of the department. This position is responsible for performing general clerical work including word processing, typing, and maintenance of a variety of files, records, and materials. The work may include service to the public, either walk-in or by telephone. REQUIREMENTS Ability to type 45 words per minute with no more than one error per 35 words. One year of office work experience. Computer skills including MS Word and Excel software. High school graduate or GED equivalent. Excellent communication skills.
