PART-TIME PROGRAM MANAGER (32 HOURS/WEEK FOR 6 MONTHS, THEN 24 HOURS/WEEK PERMANENT) BLIND RIVER Christian Horizons is currently seeking to hire a permanent, Part-Time Program Manager for the Blind River area. This Manager will provide first level management support for program locations. Reporting to the Sudbury/Algoma Area Manager, the successful candidate will provide leadership in the context of Christian Horizons policies and procedures. This role, in conjunction with the program employee team, is responsible for ensuring excellent quality supports as well as ensuring that administrative and district level tasks are completed on time and within budget. This role requires effective coordinating and liaising with families and community service partners, including mental health systems, developing and promoting supports and treatments to meet the needs of people supported. The Manager is expected to maintain a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the homes they manage, and will require the ability to work effectively in a changing environment Requirements: DSW Diploma or equivalent; relevant degree/diploma with approximately five (5) years experience in a management/leadership capacity, preferably in the Developmental Services field; previous supervisory experience is an asset. Professional business communication skills are essential to the success of this role, as the Manager represents the organization in partnership with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment, they are expected to provide leadership, coaching, planning, and problem-solving supports to the employee team and program operations. Excellent computer skills are required for success in this role (experience with Quadrant Human Resources and Maestro databases considered an asset), and experience in the area of financial management. Must demonstrate a commitment to Person-Centered values, and be knowledgeable and experienced in the application of principles, theories and practices related to behaviour therapy, mental health, and crisis response. Current First Aid/CPR, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certifications are required, as is a valid Ontario “G” class Driver’s license; access to a reliable vehicle is required for the purpose of providing effective supports, as the role does require some travel.
