PARTICIPATED IN A TV PANEL DISCUSSION ... ref to the Beas river tragedy ... ---------------------------------------------------------- I did not blame students and teachers for this completely ... I blamed the Dam management who has no respect for others life ... there should be either set timings or water should be released only at night when no humans are near the river ... In case they need to release it all of sudden then they should install proper loudspeaker warning systems or there should be check posts near each village to make announcements ... Water was too low and there were no clouds ... so no one expected flash flood ... anyone would be tempted to go into shallow water which was not that fast ... In my view the responsible people should be punished with an exemplary punishment ...
