PARTING SHOT... If there were any doubt about the kind of people we’re dealing with in ISIS, there should have been none after they beheaded American photojournalist James Foley. But there’s definitely none now, that they’ve also beheaded American freelance journalist Steve Sotloff. They aren’t religious zealots. They aren’t even human beings. They’re ugly, evil, sadistic, dangerous animals that must be destroyed before they seize any more territory or kill any more innocent people. I must admit, this is one time I don’t understand President Obama’s reluctance to act. I was in the White House Briefing yesterday when word of Sotloff’s murder flashed on everyone’s smart phone. Any minute, we expected the president to storm into the room, condemn ISIS and announce he’d already ordered American war planes to begin airstrikes against ISIS in Syria. Instead, he left the White House, hopped on Air Force One and left for Estonia – without doing anything in response. Without even saying anything about it. Without expressing his outrage or condolences to Sotloff’s family.
