PASSION. Its been a while since I took a good look at why I started this career. I started as a personal trainer. Why? Because I came from a place of being basically obese or borderline of it. My story, short & sweet, ... I am 51.5 (yes, I claim the 1/2 an inch!) and I weighed in at my highest at ~170. I had no idea how to eat healthy, how to workout, what to do with free weights, or what to do to begin. I went to a local recreation center and hired a personal trainer for a few months. I then hired an online trainer as well as another local trainer about 9 months later who would help me prepare to compete in my first ever Body Building Competition in the Figure Category. Within exactly 1 year (Nov to Nov) I went from ~170 down to 114 pounds. My goal when I decided to go for it and compete was to BELONG on that stage. I didnt care if I won. I placed 4th. Happy shit and I took it all in that day! Why am I writing this? Because I have recently been reminded why I started the journey of this career path... training people. I love to train people of all realms, all fitness levels, all with different goals. I come from a place where I know what you are going through if you too are where I once was, fed up and ready to get healthy and feel great about how I look. I was there... I didnt know what to do but I was ready for someone to guide me, and I was ready to do all that I was told/guided/coached to do. Whatever my trainer gave me for workouts and whatever my food choices and macros were, I followed. I had goals, and they often were added to along the way. If you know someone whether it is you or someone you know who needs this help... who is Fed Up... who is ready and desperate for help in a way that they will not faulter... please have them write to me. I will be putting together a short application, but in the meantime they can message me and it will be considered as their application until I have one in place. I already have one client who I have chosen. She weighs approx 208. She has drive and has wanted to make the healthy life change on many occasions. I know her work ethic. Its her diet and quantity of it that we have to get control of... we will do it. I will give periodic updates. I am excited to announce that the first I am starting with is Samantha Baker and we have already established a long term goal we will be working toward. She wants to run a full marathon. She has done one before but made it nearly an full day event as she walked nearly all of it. She (and I) will be doing the Shamrock Full Marathon together in March 2015. Feel free to share this post! Please join us in support along the way. More to come, and thank you for following and supporting me and my passion ... I have so much love for everyone who is part of my life in every facet. xoxo!
