PASTORS CORNER - June 1, 2014 A Weekly Devotional from Pastor James taken from the Sunday morning bulletin. 1 John 5:21 says, Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. The apostle John showed a lot of wisdom when he used these words. Notice how he said little children. Often times, those of us that are young at heart seek out idols. Im not referring to the kind of idols like statues that you bow down and worship. Instead, Im referring to the things in our lives that we value more than God. Those things become idols and God tells us through the apostle John that we are to stay away from those things. Avoid from keeping those things as the priority of your heart and seek God with everything you are. May the Lord richly bless you as you seek to put Him first! Pastor James
