PATTAYA: -- A disabled man confronted a SECURITY GUARD in the parking lot of Central Festival Pattaya Beach after he found out the parking spaces reserved for handicapped visitors were full. In a video posted last week, YouTube user “Saba Image” asks a SECURITY GUARD at the mall why disabled parking spaces are always clogged with expensive cars. These cars have VIP passes, the SECURITY GUARD in the video tells him apologetically. So they’re VIP?” the disabled man says. “That’s irrelevant to disabled parking spaces.” There are still more disabled parking spaces over there,” the guard responds. “Im so sorry. You cannot allow them to park. If you want the VIP to park here then change the sign to ‘VIP’,” he says. “Its impossible for PEOPLE in wheelchairs to get out of their cars parked in regular spaces. Ive been here several times, and you let them park here every time. It means the mall’s management is not attentive. But its okay, these people just have no conscience. After the video went viral, Central Festival Pattaya Beach’s official YouTube account left a comment on the video apologizing to the user. “As a representative of Central Festival Pattaya Beach, we would like to apologize for the incident,” it read. “The department store will improve our services and make sure this does not happen again. Thank you.”
