PDCs Education Team was honoured to be invited to officiate at the Dingani Primary Schools Speech and Prize Giving Day. The students are all members of the schools Conservation Club, sponsored and initiated by PDC. In this competition their assignment was to create a poem or a theatrical play focusing on the importance of conservation. One of the teams performed a play about a family trying to convince their uncle to stop poaching. Princess Juba, one of the students recited a poem on how important it was to preserve Zimbabwes natural resources. We were delighted that more than 100 parents attended the performances as well. One of our objectives of the Bush Camp and the Conservation Clubs has always been that the children will be inspired enough to teach their parents about the importance of conservation and pass the message along to their family members. Competitions such as this one do just that. A special thanks goes out to Kate Gabbani of the Bishop Gilpin School who helps support the children.
