PDP BELIEVES GREAT COUNCIL OF CHIEFS SHOULD BE RE-INSTATED AND GOVT SHOULD GET THE MANDATE OF THE PEOPLE. The People’s Democratic Party says it believes the Great Council of Chiefs should be re-instated however there should be a thorough consultation with the people. Party’s Interim President, Adi Sivia Qoro said those people who have been affected by the removal of the GCC should be consulted. When asked what is the Partys stand on the current equal distribution of land lease money to all members of the landowning units, Qoro says people that have been affected by this move have to be consulted. She said the Government should get the mandate from the people. She added proper consultation with people should have taken place prior to the removal of various race based scholarship programs that were being offered before.
