PDP MUST GO We can now see that those who fight against corruption, are themselves corrupt(Mandela, 1990). Upon his release on the 11th of February, 1990, Nelson Mandela standing at the front of over 50,000 patriots of South Africans made the statement stated above. The major propellant to this statement was the disappointment faced by Mandela knowing that those who clamoured for change in South Africa had given in to compromise with the colonial overlords during his 27yrs of detention. NOW, NIGERIA IN FOCUS: Overtime, Nigeria nd Nigerians have clamoured for change. Change in our Economic, Political & Religious sectors and thus, party agendas has focused their attention on theoretical changes which doesnt take effect in practise. POLITICS: For 16 years now, the People Democratic Party (PDP), has been the dominant party at the Federal level, while it also controls majority of the states majorly in the S.S, S.E & most Northern States thereby, occupying minority of the states in the S.W all in Nigeria. This development however, has created a tension in the political sector. I.e, it has not allowed other hands to come into the system so as to effect a change, and take another road in diversity which ofcourse is needed. At a point in South Africa, Mandela was compelled by his lovers and fans to continue his leadership as President but then, he (Mandela) strongly disagreed and asked to allow other people to come in with their ideas if they want the South Africa of their dream to come to manifestation. (We are very conversant with the period when Obasanjo also asked Mandela to contest, and Mandelas response to that effect) FACT: Of a truth, we need a change. The change weve so much desired because of the corrupt political system that has in time past, caused instability in our political system by gun men who offered us change, yet, are themselves power mongers and corrupt fellas. Which was the reason we jumped from one coup to the other in subsequent times in the history of Nigeria. THE CANDIDACY OF BUHARI & JONATHAN: Ive said it and will always say that Nigerians overtime has been placed with the options of choosing between two devils. Jonathan as a person is not good, neither is Buhari better... Jonathan: Most issues Nigerians are having with President Jonathan, is his inability to fight corruption and insecurity amongst other sensitive issues. However, the target of every government is to create an enabling environment for its citizens to dwell. Thus, ensuring the safety & enabling environment for the citizens to go about their normal businesses should be their primary objective. On these basis, I want to concur with Nigerians that Jonathan is corrupt and should be wiped out from the system because of his incompetency. BUHARI: Records have it that Gen. M. Buhari, is the most astute head of state when it comes to issues of corruption. He has been described by many as an unrepentant Apostle of Anti-Corruption and a man with steel determination. He launched a nationwide campaign called War against Indiscipline (WAI) to address corruption and Indiscipline. However, what could be more corrupt than a man who in his desperate bid to lead again goes to any extent to achieve his aim. These are my simple questions on the just released Gen. Buhari result as claimed: 1. Was there any state called Kastina state in 1961? 2. In 1961, was there an Examination called Neco., bcos am seeing NECO cancelled in the certificate? 3. A 1961 result which carries a stamp of 25-01-2015. How come? 4. Please look at Buhari picture on the certificate. So Buhari was already more than 50 yrs when he sat for the exam in 1961? 5. Please what is the Generals name, is it Muhammadu Buhari or mohamed Buhari as the certificate indicates ? N/B. And for to think that Gen. Buhari got A1 in Igbo and a Credit in Hausa language is still a wonder. With this, who or what could be more corrupt? We can now see that those who fight against corruption, are themselves corrupt(Mandela, 1990). Its just like placing Civil Disobedience & Violence! NOTE: I have always and will continue to say that both Jonathan & Buhari are not the solutions to Nigerian issues. Thus, political parties should do their best to place before us better options. However, since weve been very use to the system of choosing between two Devils, it is now left for us to choose between Buhari & Jonathan, who the lesser Devil is Samuel Nifemi Jumbo, remains my name.
