PDP SPECIAL CONVENTION: LIVE FROM THE EAGLE SQUARE: Breaking News; The drama continues as some state governors in the company of former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar have angrily stormed out of the Eagle Square venue of the PDP special convention. Also in the protest walk is a former chairman of the PDP, Abubakar Baraje, and some Senators. The group is protesting the actions of the organisers of the ongoing Special National Convention that has seen a majority of the aspirants disqualified, where over 50 of the 75 aspirants loyal to opponents of President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term ambition within the PDP, have been disqualified from vying for the 17 available National Working Committee, NWC, positions of the party. Reports reaching Daily Trust indicates that the governors and leaders that walked out are currently addressing the press at a separate venue from the Eagle Square where the PDP Convention is taking place.
