PDP chieftain warns opponents Fight Jonathan and perish, PDP chieftain warns opponents March 4,2014  Arthur Eze declared support for the governor elect of Anambra State. Anyone who opposes President Goodluck Jonathan will die since God gave him the mandate to rule Nigeria, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State, Arthur Eze, said on Tuesday. Mr. Eze said this to journalists after he visited Mr. Jonathan at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He said anyone who opposes the president opposes God and will perish. “… Jonathan is our brother, God gave him power and anybody fighting him is fighting God, the person will perish and I don’t want perish. He was in his village and God sent for him and gave him power,” said Mr. Eze, a billionaire government contractor. Despite waning popularity among Nigerians, and complaints about increasing poverty and insecurity in the nation, Mr. Eze said the president is transforming the lives of Nigerians. He said Nigerians must support the President because it is the will of God. “Now all of us will support him, he is fighting for all you the new generation. I am an old man, I am dying and that is why you have to support him and change your life. He has started changing the lives of Nigerians, the widows, the orphans, the needy. That is the will of God”. Mr. Eze, who had accused the incumbent governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, of rigging the recently held governorship election in favour of eventual winner, Willie Obiano, pledged his support for the governor elect. “I am the founder of APGA (All Progressive Grand Alliance).
