PDP leader jumps into water, recovers body of a drowned person in Ganderbal Ganderbal, July 15: (GNS)In a brave act, a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district managed to recover the body of a person who had drowned in Sindh stream after he met an accidenton Sunday. Eyewitnesses told GNS that PDP’s candidate for upcoming Assembly Elections from Kangan, Bashir Ahmad Mir, all alone managed to recover body of a non-local from the gushing Sindh stream Gangeer. On Sunday, a vehicle in which three persons including two non-locals were travelling met an accident near Hung Sonamarg and fell into Sindh stream. Soon after the accident, the district administration, police and army had started rescue operation andon Monday recovered one of the bodies along with the vehicle. So far the body which was recovered by PDP leader has not been identified. A local identified as Gulzar Ahmad is still missing. The locals have hailed the bravery of Bashir Ahmad Mir. (GNS)
