PDP’s political wrong doings have always pushed state towards political and economic instability: Vakil Azad is committed to protect and prioritize interests of the state: Vakil Omar surrendered before corrupt during his regime was incompetent to handle corruption issues: Vakil Rafiabad 1 Nov 2014: Sr. Vice President J&K Congress, Former minister and Member AICC Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil today lambasted the leadership of PDP and said that PDP’s political wrong doings have always pushed state towards political and economic instability. Withdrawal of support to Ghulam Nabi Azad led government in 2008 was their move towards making state instable. Mr. Vakil said PDP is a power-hungry party and never wanted to see democratically-elected representatives to perform in the state and had ditched its partners merely to stay in power. When developmental activities were in full bloom in entire state PDP felt insecure of Azad’s popularity and prioritized its own political interests rather than giving peace and prosperity a chance to flourish. He said that Azad is committed to protect and prioritize interests of the state and live example of that was sanctioning of five new Medical Colleges, Cancer Hospitals for the State as Union Health Minister which no other person could do it was the biggest contribution to the people of the State. Mr. Vakil was addressing party workers meetings at Khusipora Fidarpora Nowpora and Reban Rafiabad. Mr. Vakil asked the masses to verify the credentials of those leaders who day in and day out claim to resolve the Kashmir issue. “Such types of leaders have no tangible policy or programme but they only believe in grabbing power by raising hollow slogans and employing tricky methods. it is our duty to analyze the programs and policies of every party which makes tall claims that too without realizing the existing ground situation. “The rhetoric of PDP that BJP can resolve the Kashmir issue is nothing but mere bundle of lies only leading to perishing of State’s special status,” Vakil added. While taking on NC Vakil said it was Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who was unable to utilize six years of his tenure properly in eradicating corruption. Nepotism and delay in execution of developmental projects became a routine affair under Chiefministership of Omar. He said that Omar Abdullah surrendered before corrupt when in india today conclave he depicted his incompetence by saying that tackling corruption in a coalition government was an impossible task. Omar had completely surrendered before the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats who were looting the state exchequer at their whim. Mr. Vakil said that “coalition” can never be any excuse in curbing corruption if one is determined to uproot corruption from the system. Such statements, demoralized honest and dedicated persons who were fighting a virtual war against corruption during these six years Vakil added. Besides others who addressed the gathering include, Sr. Congress Leaders Ghulam Nabi Shah, Javid Masoodi (Advocate), Haji Reyaz Tantray, Haji Afzal Khan, Tariq Ahmad (Sarpanch Kaamar), and several others.
