PDRC is seeking motivated interns with the career interests in Database management and Development sector. This is an unpaid internship based in PDRC’s office in Kalanki, Kathmandu. About PDRC PDRC, a social organization founded in 2005, is dedicated to increase the access of Dalit youths to quality higher education. They are further equipped with the professional skills and competencies so as to connect them with employment opportunities. PDRC is seeking two (2) interns for a period of two months to assist with our new project named Dalit Employability Enhancement Database (DEED). Interns will be assigned task on an as needed basis and will have the opportunity to work with a DEED team and PDRC staffs. The main responsibilities include: • Maintain and entry DEED members data in prescribed system • Support team leaders in occasional field visits • Involve in DEED promotional campaign • Report data discrepancies and gaps to the team leader on time • Back up data on server on frequent basis • Other duties as assigned by the team leader Skills/Qualifications: • Proficiency with Microsoft office software, specially Word and Excel • Bachelor’s degree preferred, other candidates will also be considered • Familiar to dynamic data entry, data collection, storage & maintenance • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Nepali • Ability to succeed in a team-oriented atmosphere To apply, please submit one page cover letter and CV to [email protected] by 15 August, 2013.
