PEACE BE UPON YOU NEVER BORROW FROM THE FUTURE! If you dont read this through you are the loser! This is one of the most beautiful advice I have ever received from a FRIEND in an e-mail… Please read it. An Angel says, ‘Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn’t happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.’ 1. Pray 2. Go to bed on time 3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed 4. Say NO! to projects that won’t fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health 5. Delegate tasks to CAPABLE others 6. Simplify and unclutter your life 7. The more the merrier? But then, Less is more (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many) 8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places 9. Pace yourself. Spread out big challenges and difficult projects over time; don’t lump the hard things together 10. Take one day at a time 11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can’t do anything about a situation, forget it 12. Live within your budget; don’t use credit cards for ordinary purchases 13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc. 14. K.M.S. (keep mouth shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble 15. Do something for the kid in you everyday 16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line 17. Get enough rest 18. Eat right 19. Get organized so everything has its place 20. Listen to a tape while driving, that can help improve your quality of life 21. Write down thoughts and inspirations 22. Every day, find time to be alone 23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don’t wait until it’s time to go to bed to try and pray 24. Make friends with godly people 25. Keep a folder of favourite scriptures on hand 26. Remember that the shortest budge between despair and hope is often a good “Thank you God” 27. Laugh 28. Laugh some more 29. Take your work seriously but not yourself at all 30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can) 31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most) 32. Sit on your ego 33. Talk less; listen more 34. Slow down 35. Remind yourself that you are not the General Manager of the universe 36. Every night before bed, think of one thing you’re grateful for. God has a way of turning things around for your good The rest are my inclusion: read on! 37. Never live in tomorrow when all you have got is today 38. Dont wait until everything falls in place before you set out on an important project or journey - that is recipe for failure. Procrastination is the ally of regret! 39. There is nothing in the passage of time that unveils solutions: do something about challenges NOW or else time itself will become for you an ally of stagnation 40. Dont blame your woes on everyone else except yourself 41. Remember you will die one day and, no matter how popular or useful you were while you lived, after death people soon get used to the fact that you are dead and so move on with their lives. Dont live as if popularity were an eternal reward! 42. Dont remain for too long in your anger simply because it feels good to the ego 43. Never despise the days of small beginnings - every great feat is an integration of small ones 44. Take yourself to the hospital regularly for check-ups - dont wait to be taken to the hospital in emergency. This is both safer and less expensive 45. If you have found a man or woman who loves God more than He or she loves you, then you have found yourself a husband or wife as the case may be 46. If you stop the poor from coming close to you, you may have to bury yourself at the last scene of all 47. Worry and tension make some people physically wretched - dont lose your faith and hope even if you lose your house and fame 48. The day your parents become to you a liability, you become a specimen of futility to humanity 49. Work as if everything depends on you and pray as if everything depends on God - great and beautiful things happen when God mixes with men and women 50. Be of good cheer; dont go about with a long face - the world is sad enough without your anger Love in and out of season! Do unto neighbour as you would have them do unto you - this law is unchanging! You can love everyone: love is not a quantity that can get used up. The more you love, the better you become at loving. If God is for us who can be against us?
