PEACE BE WITH U MINISTRIES † A Box Of Chocolates † And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.” So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. Acts 8:29–31 ESV At two in the morning, I stood in the parking lot of a bar and preached one the best sermons on salvation that I had heard. It wasn’t mine; it was given to me at that moment. Conviction fell on the ones that heard it, and one started shaking. I led him to the Lord soon after. I was playing music with a local band and they had booked a bar for the weekend. I needed the money to help pay my way through Bible college, so I played in bars until four in the morning, got home, showered and then went to play in the praise team at church on Sunday. That Saturday night though, I felt the Holy Spirit descend on me while in the middle of a song. Suddenly scriptures started coming to my mind and a man caught my attention. I knew the scripture was for him, but he was drinking. I told the Lord “When break time comes, I am going to my car. If you want me to share this with him, send him over. Break time came and everyone headed to the bar for a drink, I headed to my car and opened my Bible to the scripture the Lord had given me. Soon there was a tap on the window. It was the man and he had some questions about God. I started reading him the scripture and it became a sermon. The excitement that Phillip lived still happens to those that listen and are willing. When you get serious about serving the Lord Jesus, your life will become like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get, but you can bet that it is going to be good. JESUS LOVES YOU SO MUCH HE TRADED HIS LIFE FOR YOU! :)
