PEACE III funded Community Groups Cross Border Connections Between Dunmurray Community Association, Belvoir Community Association and Truagh Development Association VISIT TO DUNMURRAY ON SATURDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER The purpose of the Connection is to develop a shared learning and peace building project between two Community groups from Lisburn-Castlereagh (Belvoir Community Association, Dunmurray Community Association) and Truagh Development Association. On the 21st September Dunmurray Community Association are hosting an event which residents of Truagh are invited to. A bus will depart from the Blackwater Valley Learning Centre on Saturday morning 21st September, returning that evening. This trip is free of charge. The visit to Dunmurray will include a visit to the Linen Museum, taking in the theme of the river and how industry developed around it. There will be opportunities for discussion and comparison during the Onam Indian festival, as there is also a substantial ethnic minority community working across the broader Monaghan area. Throughout this day, Dunmurray Community Association will be able to integrate opportunities for discussion on peace building in Dunmurray, specifically looking at areas of good practices, challenges still ongoing and progress that has been made.
