PEDALS: Dirty Deed Distortion Pedal (2013). The Dirty Deed Distortion pedal is a high-gain, straight ahead rock distortion pedal that provides classic full sounding distortion to a clean amp (Fender), or a bold, rich overdrive to an already dirty rig (Marshall). This versatile pedal features wide-range and accessible bass and treble controls that provide both boost and cut functions to help dial in your sound (most pedals only have a single tone control). We used a pair of cross-connected MOSFETs for a rich, warm distortion and natural tonal character with amp-like touch sensitivity. If the gain control is turned all the way down it works like a subtle overdrive, but with the benefit of the EQ controls.A pair of MOSFET transistors evoke the tube-like harmonics and lush sustain that only come from dangerously pushed amplifiers. Runs on standard 9v to 18v DC power supplies. At 18v the Dirty Deed enhances overall saturation and compression.
