PEEPS! A FEW things: First - I just wanted to thank everyone for the support and the commentary following the incidents with Adrianne and I at San Diego Comic-Con International this year. I welcome the debate and discussion from all sides. The good is that maybe this was meant to expose something that has just been brushed aside and hushed up for awhile now...perhaps something needed to be said out loud now because the con is just getting bigger and BIGGER. However, please do not take what happened to mean that #SDCC is not a good time or that the entire place is populated with pervs or that you should not attend. It was and remains one of my favorite events to be a part of. Im looking forward to next year. Just be aware, respectful and HUMAN with everyone. Cosplay is performance art for 99% of us. We welcome the attention, we LOVE and live for the appreciation from people who follow the various geek genres!!!! Appreciating each others creativity and admiring the work we put in to become pop icons for a day or so is part of why we do what we do. Bring it on!!! ;) Secondly, I will be attending CONJure/DreamCON in Orlando for the first time this coming weekend. Has anyone attended that con? I keep reading that it is more Steampunk oriented over superhero...Anime? Just trying to figure out what I need to be so if anyone has any idea or has gone before - I would appreciate it. Lastly, it has come to my attention that I used a word in my previous post that might be deemed offensive to the mentally handicapped or to the families of the mentally handicapped...for that, I do want to take a moment to apologize. ;)
