PELL CITY MAYOR JOE FUNDERBURG RELEASES STATEMENT DENOUNCING STATE SENATE CANDIDATE JIM MCCLENDON PELL CITY – Following today’s press conference, Pell City Mayor Joe Funderburg released the following statement: “Tomorrow’s Primary Election will be pivotal for the people of Senate District 11, as we are faced with the choice to elect Jerry Fielding, a tried and true representative of the people, or consummate politician Jim McClendon. If voters of Senate District 11 don’t want Montgomery elitists to telling them what to do, I urge them to vote against Jim McClendon. We elect them public officials to listen, and Jim McClendon has failed to do that on numerous occasions. If elected, it’s safe to say that he will continue to disregard the wishes of his constituents. I give my full support to incumbent Republican Jerry Fielding, as he has represented the people of Pell City well and will continue to empower the people of his district.” ###
