PER-REQUISITE FOR EMPOWERMENT Training-The Path To Power ------------------------------------------------------------------ Jesus brought His disciples to Himself first to train them and thereafter to equip them for the task. (Mk. 3:14-15; Matt. 10:1-2; Lk. 9:1-2; 10:19; Acts 1:4-8). You cannot hold anyone accountable for what you have not taught him/her. Training comes before arming. Gen. 14:14. It is dangerous to give the right position, tools and authority to a person who is ill equipped. It will destroy him and those meant to benefit from his office. No wonder it is widely said that when purpose is not known, abuse will be inevitable. Until you are trained, you’re not through (Lk. 2:46-49). Until you’re trained you can’t be trusted. ( II Tim.2:1-5). If you don’t want to be ashamed in the day of trouble get trained. (II Tim.2:15). Stop praying for power; start training for it because to be untrained is to remain unfit.
