PERFECTED FOREVER: Heb 10:11-14 11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. NKJV 1. In the Old Covenant, sacrifices had to be offered continually to cover their sins. The sacrifices never actually REMOVED the sin, they just covered. In the New Covenant, our High Priest offered only ONE sacrifice for sins forever, dealing with it once for all by His grace. Our role is to believe and receive what He has done for us by faith. (Rom 10:4) 2. After the one offering, HE SAT DOWN. This signifies finishing the work. If there was more work to be done, He wouldnt sit. Thats why He said it is finished. We too need to rest (Heb 4:1-9). Remember we are seated with Him in the heavenly places (Eph 2:6). He has ceased from His work of righteousness, so must we. We now work FROM righteousness, nor FOR righteousness. 3. By this one offering HE HAS PERFECTED FOREVER all of us who believe and are being sanctified. God works from the end, not towards the end. Being sanctified means we are still a work in progress, yet God isnt afraid to call us perfect. PERFECTED FOREVER!!! Wow... Thats why salvation (New Covenant) is equated to marriage and the law (Old Covenant) to the school master. In school, you get your certificate (perfection) after you have passed all the tests and exams. In marriage, you get your certificate AT THE BEGINNING! Ahhhhhhhhh... JESUS you are too much for me. Im in looooove with You. Ill worship You all my life... Not much else is worth my affection! HALLELUJAH!!!
