PERIOD and PRIVACY???.... There I was in the Sanitary Pad Section of CVS...She said she wanted WINGS...I walk to that aisle with the confidence of a person who was familiar with what they were looking for. And then I saw the VARIETY! YESU At this point I was in a DAZE...I wished she was more Specific...Well I guess I have to ask the Pharmacist I thought; hoping that she would point me in the right direction. To my DISMAY she walked over to ask me more questions. Medium, Large, Maxi and all of that?. (I could be misquoting at this point because everything sounded so foreign) I eventually found that RIGHT one. Before we MOVE on here let me be CLEAR about this POST...Yes it is one of my NO-HOLDS Barred Posts. Today it is about PERIOD...OK that said... Lets wait for all the PEOPLE who are either DISGUSTED or NOT Interested to GET of first. Going Once, Twice....GONE... OK so now that we have all the JUDGES gone lets continue. I am SURE you are wondering what I was DOING in that Aisle. Well, Well I was a Naive Intern in a Hotel, Sophomore who was Gung-ho and ready to impress. I had just learned about going the Extra Mile in my Summer Internship Summit...AND Ready to put it to practice. Well I had met a PERFECT Match... When I was growing UP Women in my household and around did not talk about their PERIODS around men, it was SACRED, It was PRIVATE...the only time that word came up was when they were referring to that dot at the END of a Sentence (.) š that one! So that DAY when the LADY approached me about wanting a Sanitary pad for her emergency. She was lucky that I actually went to the GIFT shop and grabbed her ONE...Seriously?...My Grandma would have told me it was NOT my Place...She aint my Mother, Wife nor Sister....Only Okotobonku does that...Hmmm African men are Forbidden to touch a womans underwear in Public...(Hypocrital But Fact)... But nope this lady was also PICKY she had a choice; she told me that was not what she wanted. As Awkward and Uncomfortable as I was I probed her to see if there was anything else I COULD do... Well this LADY knew how to take advantage of an Opportune moment. She begged me as she handed me $20 to go to the closest drug store (Which was a couple of miles away) to buy her one with WINGS...and wanted me to be QUICK as she was MEETING someone in 30 minutes... Well the Result was that I was able to EXCEED her expectation by going the EXTRA Mile...Literally and Figuratively... Now MY Question to the LADIES did this LADY take advantage of the Situation? Could she have improvised with what was in the Gift SHOP and then Go out later?What would you have done in your EMERGENCY Gentlemen What DO you THINK and WHAT would you have DONE? NKSVII
