PERSIAN CONVERSATIONS! Thursday, November 7, noon-1:30, in the AREA Gallery, Woodbury Campus Center, Portland campus, for Persian Conversations. Persian Conversations is a discussion on the politics and poetics of Iranian culture as reflected in the University of Southern Maine (USM) Art Gallery’s “Persian Visions: Contemporary Photography from Iran” exhibition on view in the Art Gallery, Gorham campus and AREA Gallery, Portland Campus until Dec. 8. Persian Conversations includes Pamela Karimi, assistant professor of art history at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and Reza Jalali, coordinator of USM Office of Multicultural Student Affair. The conversation will be moderated by Carolyn Eyler. Persian Conversations is free an open to the public.
